India Post GDS / Postman Salary After 8th Pay Commission: In 2026, the 8th Pay Commission is expected to revise salaries for India Post GDS, postmen, and MTS using a fitment factor of 1.92x to 2.86x. Under this revision, GDS basic/TRCA may increase from ₹10,000 to ₹19,200–₹28,600. Similarly, a postman's basic pay may rise from ₹21,700 to ₹41,600–₹62,000, with arrears applicable from 1 January 2026.
